Jennifer Lake, MBA

Prior to joining Hierophant Enterprises, Inc., Jennifer served as the Executive Director of the St. Petersburg Bar Association in St. Petersburg, Florida. Her former experience also includes serving as the Assistant Director for the Illinois Higher Education Center for Alcohol, Other Drug, and Violence Prevention. In this position, she worked to secure state and federal funding for higher education AOD prevention programs, planned a state-wide conference, and presented at national conferences on a variety of substance abuse prevention related issues.
Jennifer's background in higher education, AODV prevention, and the legal field, serves her well in her current position. She has a passion for making our nation's campuses safer for college students and wants to work in an area where she can make an impact.
Jennifer graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.A. in Health Studies (2000) and an MBA in Business Administration (2001).
Professor Peter F. Lake, JD

Peter F. Lake is Professor of Law, Charles A. Dana Chair and director of the Center for Higher Education Law and Policy at Stetson University College of Law. He teaches and writes in the areas of torts, higher education law and policy, insurance, and jurisprudence, and has won several awards for his teaching and scholarship. He co-authored The Rights and Responsibilities of the Modern University (Carolina Academic Press 1999), and has authored numerous law review articles and other publications. He is an internationally-recognized expert on higher education law and policy and has been quoted or referred to in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Chicago Sun Times, the Chronicle of Higher Education, various reported legal decisions including the Supreme Courts of Virginia and Florida, and the most recent Restatement of the Law of Torts. He has appeared on major television and radio networks such as ABC, CNN, and NPR. His most recent book, Beyond Discipline - Managing the Modern Higher Education Environment, was published in 2009 by Hierophant Enterprises, Inc.
Professor Lake is a highly sought after consultant, speaker and futurist, particularly in the field of higher education law and policy, where he has served as a presenter or keynote speaker at several hundred international, national, regional, and local meetings. Professor Lake received a major national award from the Alpha Chi Omega women's fraternity when he received the Vision Award at their convention in 2003. He also was honored as the featured author at the 2008 Pivotal Publications Colloquium at the University of Connecticut. Over the years and in recognition of his work, Professor Lake has served on several boards, including the board of editors of the Journal of College and University Law, the Center for Academic Integrity, the review board for the U.S. Department of Education's Higher Education Center, the academic advisory board of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, and the board of advisors to The Network. Most recently, Professor Lake served on the roundtable for the development of Student Mental Health and the Law: A Resource for Institutions of Higher Education (2008), published by the JED Foundation.
He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
